a designer creating a brochure may want to reuse
an image created prior, but might not know
where to locate the image. Cosmos came to the
rescue by proposing and delivering a system that
acts as a central repository of image files,
documents and print-job information that serves
all authorized personnel and their agency’s
personnel. This secure, web based system is
capable of accepting almost any universal
standard file formats from a variety
of platforms.
The image and document library system runs
on
our MySuperfileTM platform. The capability
to
organize and track multiple collateral file formats
is one of the highlight features of this system.
Another highlight feature is the ability
to allow
users to set-up a single level categorization,
multi-level categorizations or, a combination
of both, in order to uniformly organize the
collateral material.
The next crucial function is a flexible search
engine, driven by a robust and secured
Relational Database Management System
(RDBMS). The search engine searches by
collateral category, artwork category, file
format, related publication form ID’s, related
print job number and key words. Users with
access to the search function can download to
their desktop any collateral files displayed in
the search results page. The system also comes
with an innovative cataloging feature allowing
users to create different templates for
presentation of their search results. Once a
template has been created it can be used
repeatedly by all users for the presentation of
search results.
